How To Style Your Bedroom

Bedrooms can sometimes be one of the most difficult rooms to decorate. If there is one room in your home that should truly reflect your taste, personal style and surround you in a world of uncompromising comfort, then it is the bedroom. You can learn how to style your bedroom through the following:

The Bed
This may seem obvious, but your bed should always be the first thing you see when you walk into your room. The basic formula for styling your bedding is the use of bed pillows and throw pillows. If you have a pretty bed frame, keep it exposed and the floor underneath clear. Some of us who are tight on space might need that extra room for storage. If that is the case, you might need a storage space under your bed.

The Bedside Tables
Your bedside tables should always coordinate and match. You will need a sconce or lamp for reading, a candle for cosiness, a jewellery dish for your studs and rings, and a few personal things like books. The Dresser or Drawers
Your dresser or chest of drawers is another place to display your things. Because this area most likely involves getting ready, you will need a mirror above for one last look before you head out for the day. This is also a great place for your jewellery box and perfume.

The Windows
Not every house has pretty windows, but odds are there are times during the day when you would rather tame the light coming in. The best way to do this is by hanging long curtains close to the ceiling and let them trail down to the floor. Make sure they hang not too wide and not too narrow. Remember, they are beautiful open or closed.

The Walls
Even when all the furniture is in place and every surface is styled, a room can still look visually empty. Spruce up your walls with art, whether framed or something a little more three dimensional. Make sure to hang it properly, so it does not fall.

The Closet
The best way to ensure a good looking closet is to keep it tidy. An easy way to do this is with uniform hangers. You will avoid them getting all tangled up. You can also use your closet door as an opportunity to display clothes that also match your decor

The Extras
A room wouldn’t be complete without a few personal touches. A pretty sitting chair to fill some wall space, a bench at the end of the bed, plants to bring the outdoors in, or a wallpaper. These a few extras that can contribute to your room in style and sentiment.
